Home of Varyn Ebner’s solo projects and troupe Ego Umbra

Ego Umbra (‘Shadow Self’) is a dance troupe that explores the darker, heavier side of dance movements, musical choice, and aesthetic presentation. The style is a fusion of bellydance, contemporary, ballet, modern, hip-hop, and the dancers’ own unique stylings. The musical choices tend toward metal and other heavy, dark music. The group specializes in theatrical pieces that focus on exploring the inner self, creating beauty in the unexpected, and finding peace within the bittersweet.
